Application Process


  • Applications are accepted year-round, and early applications are advisable.
  • The acceptance process begins in February for fall spaces. 
  • Children will begin school at the start of the fall semester in August when most spaces are available. Some spaces may also become available throughout the year. Storybrook Oakland follows the OUSD school year. 
  • Storybrook Oakland is accepting applications for the  2018-2019 school year using the following steps: 

Step 1: Fill out an inquiry form.

Step 2: Visit our School

Schedule a tour for your visit. Once you have completed an inquiry form, we will send you a confirmation for the tour date that you select. 

Step 3: Apply

Your tour will help you see if Storybrook Oakland is the right fit for your child. If so, please fill out the application form, and send in a check for $50 made out to Storybrook Oakland at 1528 E 19th Street, Oakland Ca 94606. (This is a non-refundable application fee). The application will be considered complete and timestamped once we receive both the form and the check. Please email or if you have any questions. If there is no space available at Storybrook Oakland, your completed application and application fee will add you the wait pool.  

Step 4: Fill out Enrollment Packet and Forms

Once your child has been accepted into Storybrook Oakland, complete the enrollment packet and licensing forms
